Bhutan

My wife and I just returned from 9 days in Bhutan- 4 in Paro, 3 in Thimphu, 1 in Punaka and 1 in Gangtey. We booked our travel with Bhutan Scenic Tours managed by Tshering Dorji. They did a terrific job of organizing the trip, were very responsive in their e-mail communications and provided a first class experience. Our guide, Rinzi, was a pleasure to be with, as was our driver, Namgay. We didn%26#39;t do any trekking and spent most of our time exploring the incredible landscape as well as learning what we could about Buddhism and Bhutan%26#39;s unique mode of development called GNH, or Gross National Happiness. Though the living standard in Bhutan is on the low side of national GNPs one sees few signs of the kinds of the misery so familiar in the developing world. It%26#39;s a delight for the traveler to enjoy Bhutan without feeling the guilt and conflicted emotions of negotiating around crushing poverty.

Bhutan

Yeah, but the problem with Bhutan Scenic Tours is that they continually show up on this board and post ';reviews'; written by ';travelers';. I don%26#39;t think we%26#39;ve actually authenticated anyone who has really traveled with them.
