Hi,
We are planning to go to Bhutan in Sept for a 6 day tour to Thimphu, Punakha, Paro etc. We are deciding on a tour operator and are likely to go with Blue Poppy.
What things should we try to ask them/ get from them eg specific hotels, specific guides, type of car? Or is there any point to try and do this.
Thanks.
What questions to ask the tour operator upfront?
Hi,
Did you make reservations already? The first thing is to be sure of places on the plane to Bhutan.
Usually the hotels are chosen by the tour operator and are the best available which have place. Most hotels are nice, all are clean and have private bathrooms. Only when you go during a festival there may be a shortage of rooms and you might get a simpler room, still without having the choise.
The car , it depends how many of you are coming. Try to ask for a car with enough room,f.e. is you are 6, ask for a car having room for at least 8 or 9.
If you have special interests, either hobby or profession, you can ask to visit places connected, or meeting people.6 days is a short time to see Bhutan, but will give you a feeling, and want to return for more.
