Bhutan

Hello,

We are planning a trip to Bhutan in mid may. I would like to know which are the good hotels in Thimpu %26amp; Paro? A resort amidst nature, with beautiful view %26amp; good rooms. And their approx tariff. Also what are the places which one absolutely must visit there? Ours is a 6 days/5 nights trip with the 1st %26amp; the last days being spent in trvelling from New Jalpaiguri to Thimpu %26amp; back,so 4 full days of visiting. Also for transportation, which is the most comfortable vehicle available? We are considering Innova or Scorpio. Any other information which might be helpful will be appreciated.

Thank you

If you mean true resorts, then you are going to spend big $$$. In Paro the 3 biggies are Amankora, Uma Paro, and Zhiwa Ling. Amankora and Uma are around $1,000 per night. Zhiwa Ling is about $350 I think. In Thimphu the 2 resorts are Taj and Amankora. Taj is about $350 a night I think.

In Paro, I don%26#39;t know where Uma is, but Amankora and Zhiwa Ling are several miles out of town, so they fit your amidst nature needs. In Thimphu the

Taj is right in town, but I don%26#39;t know where the Amankora is.

In Paro you must make the hike to Tiger%26#39;s Nest.

In Thimphu there is a nice hike up to Chari Monastery.

Also in Thimphu there is the Folk and Heritage Mesuem, and the National Textile Museum.

In both places there are the dzongs.
